India has indeed made a historic breakthrough by entering the top 100 of the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) rankings for the first time. According to the latest 2025 Sustainable Development Report from the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, India is now ranked 99th out of 193 countries, with an SDG index score of 67.
India’s advancement can be attributed to significant improvements in key SDG pillars:
