Following the ritual, the deities are believed to fall ill and are placed in seclusion for 15 days, known as Anavasara. During this period, devotees offer prayers to painted representations of the deities, eagerly awaiting their return during the Rath Yatra.
While the main festivities are held in Puri, the Jagannath Rath Yatra is celebrated worldwide. In cities like Ranchi, Visakhapatnam, and Hyderabad, devotees gather in large numbers to observe Snana Purnima, performing rituals and prayers in their respective temples.
